They will review their session and pick out their strengths and weaknesses.
Students have the opportunity to develop skills in extra-curricular activities including competing against local schools in the Charnwood Schools Sports Competition and county schools tournaments In recent years, there have been developments in the PE curriculum.
Currently in Year 9, students opt to take GCSE PE or OCR National. In Year 10 and Year 11 students are guided towards either GCSE PE, Cambridge National, Level 1/2 in Sport Studies or Core PE.

We are happy to try out new ideas, because we want to ensure that every student succeeds.Celebrating genuine success is an important aspect of building self confidence and developing a sense of pride and ambition.Students will be studying the following four units over the next two years: - UNIT 1 Contemporary Issues - UNIT 2 Developing Sports Skills - UNIT 3 Media In Sport - UNIT 6 Sports Leadership Coursework will be ongoing.Our aim is to enrich the lives of students through sport and physical activity and educate all students in the lifelong benefits of leading an active, healthy lifestyle.You have to do at least two main sports- one individual and one team sport, but we will cover a variety of sports throughout the unit and course.*Unit 3: Media In Sport Students will understand the basic singular forms of Media such as Newspapers, Internet, Television and Radio. This course is equivalent to one GCSE Students study four units (listed below) during the two years. By choosing the Cambridge National Sports Studies course, you will be given the opportunity to practically learn the theory behind sport.There are many ways in which we highlight achievement, from HP Award badges in assembly to photos around the site.All students are expected to celebrate the success of others.
